Mallet Court Nursery
Terms of Business
Conditions
All varieties are offered subject to availability. Catalogue prices are
mainly for young plants. Sometimes we have larger plants. Please ask for
availability and price.
If you are dissatisfied with
purchase/order, your complaint will have our full attention. Complaints
must be made within seven days of receipt of order. Provided you notify
us within that time we will replace any damaged or unhealthy plants, provided
that the condition of your plant(s) is not due to neglect, adverse weather
conditions or damage caused by animals.
Mail Order Service
We despatch orders between October and March when they are dormant. Plants
are sent out by carrier on a next day service where possible. If there
will be no-one available to accept the delivery, please send instructions
with your order detailing where plants can be left. Plants will be despatched
on receipt of payment unless a prior agreement has been made.
Payment
Payment can be made by cheque, postal order or credit/debit card.
Cheque
Please make cheques payable to Mallet Court Nursery. Total up your order
and remember to add carriage (see below). When writing your cheque, leave
amount blank and write across the cheque ‘Not to exceed £......’,
this is total amount of your plants plus the carriage cost (see below).
By doing this, we can then reduce the amount payable if any plants you
have ordered are not available.
Bank
We have a bank account both in the UK and France so we can accept Sterling
or Euro. Please telephone for details.
Credit Cards
Please make sure that the Card Number, Security code, (usually on the back)
Expiry Date and Name on the card is quoted.
Switch Cards
As with credit cards+ start date
Carriage
and Packing Charges
The cost depends on weight and not the number of trees. As a guide trees
less than 1.5 metres can be sent by Parcel Force in England and Wales
.
Trees over 1.5 metres are sent by private carrier from £20 in England
and Wales
For all other areas please contact us.
We would like to advise our
customers to check their deliveries for any damage on arrival, as failure
to notify the carrier immediately will result in loss of claim.
VAT
We operate the ‘Farmers Flat Rate Scheme’ by which customers
are not charged VAT unless their order is for a VAT registered account.
This will be charged at 4% which can be claimed in the normal way. Our
VAT Number is: FRF 04-000804.
Export
The nursery exports throughout the world. This is subject to the health
regulations of the country in question and an import license may be required.
In this case we have to acquire a Phytosanitary Certificate for which
we are charged, this cost is payable by the customer. This does not apply
to EEC countries, where plant passports will be applied for where necessary.
We look forward to seeing our
clients during at the major shows during the coming year. See our 'events'
